  Universal Serial Bus (USB)

A peripheral bus standard which brings the plug and play of computer peripherals outside the computer, thus eliminating the need to install cards into dedicated computer slots and reboot the system.

Up to 127 peripherals can be run simultaneously and they will be automatically detected and configured upon attachment. USB provides a common interface for all peripherals, making special connectors unnecessary.
