  Degauss

To demagnetize an object. All CRT type monitors are influenced by magnetic fields that can discolor or distort the image on the screen. In order to correct these affects, EIZO displays are built with degauss coils that act to demagnetize the CRT. An internal degauss coil is engineered into each EIZO display. It is activated when the display is powered on. An external degauss control is available on the front panel of many EIZO displays and can be operated at any time.
