Fine Contrast Mode Selection
Choose from among six different Fine Contrast modes -- Text, Picture, Movie, External, Custom and sRGB -- for the one that best suits the kind of application you're using. Access is handy via a button on the front panel. |
Image Mode Assignment
Part of the ScreenManager Pro for LCD utility software, this function lets you assign a Fine Contrast mode to a specific application. Whenever you use the application, the screen automatically changes to the assigned mode. It also provides a WindowMovie mode, which darkens the surrounding background so the video window appears clearer and brighter. |
Color Space Emulation
Included in EIZO’s ScreenManager Pro for LCD utility software, Color Space Emulation enables you to match your monitor to the color characteristics of other CRT or LCD monitors, or to other color spaces. (Software is compliant with Windows Vista/XP/2000 only.) |

Developed for Color Universal Design
To avoid creating inconveniences and even dangers for those with color vision deficiency, care must be taken when choosing color schemes for everyday items such as maps, road signs, web sites, and power indicator lights. A new user-oriented design system called “Color Universal Design” (CUD) has been developed to resolve this issue. In CUD, color schemes are based on what can easily be identified by people with all types of color vision rather than what is aesthetically pleasing. The FlexScan S2411W simulates color vision deficiency and is certified as a CUD compliant product by the Color Universal Design Organization (CUDO) of Tokyo, Japan.

Protanopia and Deuteranopia Simulation in Real Time
Simulates* two types of red-green color vision deficiency – protanopia and deuteranopia. The FlexScan L797-U does all the color conversion processing in real time – even moving images. With the bundled UniColor Pro software (Windows Vista/XP/2000 and Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later only) – also developed by EIZO – the designer can instantly switch from a normal viewing mode to the Protanopia and Deuteranopia viewing modes. Until now, tools available for simulating color vision deficiency have been software based so the color conversion process can be time consuming depending on the size and quantity of images to be converted, making these tools of limited practical use.

* This product simulates, but does not show colors exactly how they appear to a person with protanopia (shades of red are reduced or not distinguishable in depth and luminosity) or deuteranopia (differences between red and green are difficult to distinguish). People with color vision deficiency are more sensitive to differing levels of luminance and saturation than those with normal color vision; hence some differences in color perception will remain when looking at a simulated image. What this product can do is make it easier to identify which colors and color schemes will be difficult for protanopes and deuteranopes to distinguish. |

Independent 6-Color Control
Extensive color control allows the precise adjustment
of even a single color in an image. You can independently
adjust hue and saturation for each primary
(red, green, blue) and secondary (cyan, magenta, yellow)
color. |
Placement Flexibility
The FlexScan L797-U offers exceptional flexibility to accommodate both your work style and your work space. The stand is height adjustable through a 100 mm range and provides 41° tilt and 70° swivel so every user can easily set the ideal position. It also pivots 90° for portrait mode viewing. |
10-Bit Gamma Correction
Automatically takes 8-bit input signals (256 tones for each primary color) from the graphics board and uses a 10-bit look-up table (1,021 tones) to produce smoother, more accurate gradations of color. Gamma values are also user-adjustable from 1.4 to 3.0 in 0.2 increments.

Customer Assurance
Complies with leading industry standards, including TCO'03 and TÜV Ergonomics. It also conforms to EIZO's own strict Eco Products 2002 environmental criteria for design, manufacture, packaging, and usage, including the introduction of lead-free solder and chrome-free steel plates. |
