4. Preparing for Printing
B. Print Settings Using the Adobe Photoshop Color Management System (CMS)
ICC profiles for printing paper are required for print settings that use Adobe Photoshop's CMS. Color matching between the monitor and prints requires using the [View] function with Photoshop 7 or later. Setting the printer using a printer driver, therefore, is necessary when the other retouch software including Adobe Photoshop Elements is used.
Confirming Colors with the Color Proof Function before Printing
(1) With the image displayed, select [Proof] – [Custom] from the [View] menu.

(2) Under [Device to Simulate], set the printing paper profile. Here, EPSON Premium Glossy Photo Paper will be used for printing, so select [SPR2400 Premium Glossy].
For [Rendering Intent], select [Relative Colorimetric], the same setting as at “Print Preview” when actually printing. If you select another “Rendering Intent” at “Print Preview," then use this as the setting. Select the [Black Point Compensation] check box. Select the [Preview] check box to the right. Click [OK]. This will print the image displayed in colors based on the ICC profile.
