Paper brightness is measured simultaneously.

(9) Confirm that the target values (brightness and x,y values indicating paper whiteness) are input automatically, and then click [Next].

(10) Leave the [Set the target black level] box unchecked and click [Next] (recommended). Then check [All RGB], set the gamma value to 2.2, select [Gray Balance] , and click [Next] (recommended).

(11) Put a name on the target and click [OK].

(12) Following the instructions given in the window, place the sensor on a flat surface and click [Initialize].

(13) Attach the sensor to the monitor, then click [Proceed]. Calibration will be performed automatically.

(14) When calibration is complete, the following screen will appear. Confirm the adjustment results, then click [Save].

(15) If paper white measurement function is not available with the sensor used, set your target values (brightness, white point, gamma) manually, and click [Next].
Setting white point to 5,000 K and brightness to around 80 cd/m2 is recommended for general use.

At this stage, the ambient light has been adjusted and the monitor’s white point and brightness have been calibrated to the printing paper’s whiteness and brightness to ensure equivalence. To check whether the white colors match, display a white screen (such as an empty file folder). Expand it to the same size as the printing paper. Place the printing paper next to it and compare.
