Raptor SQ2801

Based on the FlexScan SX3031W, this 30" monitor comes with all the same features and functionality, but has been outfitted with downscaling capabilities. This makes it ideal as an economical replacement for a primary control monitor in non-critical ATC environments such as training & simulation centers and technical labs.

  • 2560 × 1600 native resolution
  • Hardware downscaling of 2K × 2K and 2.5K × 2K signals
  • Consumes just 82 watts of power during normal use
  • 5-year limited warranty

Features

Hardware Downscaling of Images

The monitor downscales 2K × 2K and 2.5K × 2K signals to 1600 × 1600 and 2000 × 1600 resolutions respectively. This gives aviation authorities and system integrators an economical yet practical alternative to investing in 2K × 2K or 2.5K × 2K monitors for non-critical environments such as ATC simulation & training centers and testing labs. Downscaling is done inside the monitor, which ensures that system integrators can use it without having to invest time and money into adding downscaling capabilities to their software applications. Furthermore, hardware downscaling ensures that grayscale gradations are displayed smoothly and the screen updating speed is maintained.

Image Positioning

PositioningA downscaled image can be positioned in the center or moved the right or left side of the screen. Moving the image to one side or the other optimizes the functionality of the Raptor WS3001 in a dual monitor environment since it minimizes the amount of space between images and the resulting amount of eye movement.

Low Power Consumption

By consuming just 82 watts in normal operation and less than 2 watts in standby mode, the Raptor WS3001 requires less energy compared to 2K × 2K monitors, which consume up to 160 watts during normal operation and 15 watts in standby mode.

Reduced Eye Fatigue

The screen’s brightness can be lowered to just 3 cd/m2 which significantly reduces eye fatigue in training centers with little or no ambient lighting.

Two Monitors in One with Picture-By-Picture

The Raptor WS3001 offers additional functionality with picture-by-picture capability that divides the screen into two equal halves of 1200 × 1600 and displays input from two computers simultaneously. This is especially practical if using two units of the Raptor WS3001 in the same setup; the first can be used for downscaling a 2K × 2K signal and the second for displaying content from auxiliary monitors with this picture-by-picture function.

12-Bit Gamma, 16-Bit Internal Processing

An EIZO-designed integrated circuit is built in and features a 12-bit look-up table with a color palette of 68 billion colors from which the most appropriate 16.7 million (8-bits) are displayed. It also has 16-bit internal processing for smooth display of grayscale tones, especially in dark areas of an image.

Detailed Color Control

With the Raptor WS3001, you can adjust not only brightness, but also gamma, saturation, hue, gain, and color temperature. For fine-tuning of even a single color, the hue and saturation settings for RGBCMY can be adjusted independently.

Dual DVI-D Inputs

Dual DVI-D inputs (digital) are included for connecting to two PCs. One input supports dual link for displaying resolutions up to the monitor’s maximum of 2560 × 1600, and the other input is single link for resolutions up to 1920 × 1200.

6 ms Gray-to-Gray Response Time

This fast response time ensures that moving images such as weather patterns, tracks, and rubber-banding will be displayed clearly and without image delay. This not only provides clear and sharp images, but it also reduces eye fatigue.

5-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty

The Raptor WS3001 is made by EIZO at its factories in Japan and is backed by a five-year warranty.
