1968 March Company founded as Hakui Electronic Corporation in Hakui, Ishikawa, Japan.
1973 January Company name changed from Hakui Electronic Corporation to Togi Electronics Manufacturing Corporation.
March Company name changed to Nanao Corporation; begins electronics manufacturing and sales.
1978 April Develops, manufactures, and begins sales of (table top) video arcade machines.
1979 May Nanao Electric Corporation (Nanao, Ishikawa, Japan) becomes a subsidiary through share acquisition.
1980 February Irem Corporation, a maker and purveyor of software for home and industrial use, becomes a subsidiary through share acquisition.
1981 April Plant built in Matto (now Hakusan), Ishikawa, Japan; operations begin.
1984 January Wako Electronics Corporation (Hakui, Ishikawa, Japan) becomes a subsidiary through share acquisition.
September Hitec Associates Ltd. (Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan) founded as a sales subsidiary for the European market (renamed Eizo Corporation in January 1990).
1985 May Overseas sale of display monitors under the EIZO brand name begins in Europe.
September Nanao USA Corporation founded in California, USA (now Eizo Nanao Technologies Inc.). Sale of display monitors under the NANAO brand name begins in North America.
1989 May Building construction completed to accommodate Head Office and Research and Development facility within company grounds in Matto (now Hakusan), Japan.
1990 November Head Office moved to 153 Shimokashiwano, Matto (now Hakusan), Ishikawa, Japan.
1991 February Electronic circuit board manufacturer Ushitsu Corporation (Notocho, Housugun, Ishikawa, Japan) becomes a subsidiary through share acquisition, (November, 2000 company name changed to UDS Corporation, company grounds moved to Nakanotocho, Kashimagun, Ishikawa, Japan).
March Plant built on company grounds in Matto (now Hakusan), Ishikawa, Japan.
July Under the "NANAO" brand name, sales of CRT display monitors for personal computers begins in the Japanese market.
1992 September Eizo Sweden AB (now EIZO Europe AB) founded.
Development, manufacture, and sales of LCD amusement monitors (for video game arcades) begin.
1993 December ISO 9002 Quality Management System Certification acquired.
1996 April Company brand names "EIZO" and "NANAO" are unified "EIZO NANAO."
1997 March Develops, manufactures and begins sales of LCD monitors for personal computers.
April Irem Software Engineering Inc. founded in Matto (now Hakusan), Ishikawa, Japan.
June Development section of Irem Co. Ltd. transferred to Irem Software Engineering Inc. and Irem Co. Ltd. assets are sold off.
September ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification (PDF: 905 KB) acquired.
1998 February Eizo Support Network Corporation in Matto (now Hakusan), Ishikawa, Japan founded and begins offering after-sales service at 7 offices in Japan.
July ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification (PDF: 469 KB) acquired.
1999 April Nanao Corporation and Eizo Corporation merge (new company name is Eizo Nanao Corporation).
2002 March Eizo Nanao Corporation listed in the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2003 March Eizo Nanao Corporation listed in the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2004 April Nanao Electric Corporation and Wako Electronics Corporation integrated as Eizo Nanao MS Corporation.
2005 February Eizo Techno Career Corporation (now Eizo Engineering Corporation) founded in Hakusan, Ishikawa, Japan.
April ISO 13485 Medical Device Quality Management System Certification (PDF: 567 KB) acquired.
July Acquisition of Eizo Business Unit of EXCOM AG to make it 100% owned subsidiary Eizo Nanao AG.
2007 February Graphics board developer and manufacturer, Tech Source, Inc. (Florida, USA) becomes a subsidiary through share acquisition.
March Construction of research and development center within corporate headquarters completed in Hakusan, Ishikawa, Japan.
June EIZO GmbH established in Karlsruhe, Germany.
October Medical monitor business acquired from Siemens A&D (Germany).
